One of the most intriguing of the Russian meetings during the transition period, is the one that involves Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos’ brother Erik Prince.
In recent weeks, we’ve learned that the man who helped set up the meeting was George Nader and he’s been cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller. This means one thing, Mueller has Prince on the ropes.
The Washington Post is reporting Erik Prince’s meeting during the transition period was focused on one thing, making a backchannel between Trump and Russia.
The Post is now reporting that special counsel Robert S. Mueller III has evidence that the Seychelles meeting in January 2017 was indeed about establishing a back channel. The key witness on that front is George Nader, a Lebanese American businessman who recently began cooperating with the investigation. Nader organized and attended the Seychelles meeting with Prince and Kirill Dmitriev, the head of a Kremlin-controlled wealth fund.
Prince or Trump would have had absolutely no legal authority to create this type of thing during the transition period, a period in which Barack Obama was still the President. It’s actually a crime to do so. Michael Flynn got into his own legal trouble for negotiating with the Russian Ambassador during the transition period.
Prince runs private armies for a living and he knows lots of shady people who are good at hiding things and underhanded dealings. He just may have lots of Dirt on Trump that would be extremely valuable to Robert Mueller’s investigation. If Prince offered up that intel to Mueller to save himself, we would not be surprised.
Let’s not forget Erik Prince’s sister, Betsy DeVos, though. While there doesn’t seem to be proof that Betsy was involved in the meeting, her cabinet appointment has always been suspicious. For now, you can read the entire analysis that was put together by a computer expert, tying DeVos’s Spectrum Health servers to Trump Tower and Russia.
