Following last weeks tweet from popular vote loser Donald Trump in which he now infamously claimed that he is “a stable genius” in response to reports of his declining mental health, a Democratic lawmaker has plans to introduce a new bill requiring mental health examinations for all future Presidential candidates.
In case you missed it, here is the Twitter meltdown Trump launched just days ago:
The name of the bill , “The Stable Genius Act”, which will be introduced by Representative Brendan Boyle (D. PA) to ensure candidates are properly examined by mental health professionals.
The Hill reports, The act would require all presidential candidates to file a Federal Election Commission (FEC) report “certifying that he or she has undergone medical examination by the medical office under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Navy.”
Boyle believe that that American voters have the right to know whether a candidate has the mental fortitude to withstand the pressures of the White House, which he said in a statement.
“Before voting for the highest office in the land, Americans have a right to know whether an individual has the physical and mental fitness to serve as President,” Boyle added.
We fully expect Trump to get out his phone and have a Twitter meltdown about this move from Boyle any moment now.
The push by Democrats to have Trump’s mental health examined is not a partisan issue. He clearly has something going on, which has been stated by numerous psychologists across the country. Just do a Google search and you can spend days reading their assessments.
