Fox New’s Tucker Carlson may have taken on a little more than he could handle when he decided to interview Teen Vogue writer Lauren Duca.
To start the segment, Carlson accused Ms. Duca of defending the person who confronted Ivanka Trump on an airplane this week. Duca clarified that she doesn’t think anyone should be confronted like that in public, especially in front of their children. Carlson responded by challenging her position that Ivanka is guilty of “sinister complicity” simply by being involved in her father’s administration.
That didn’t deter Duca, as she explained to Carlson that there’s a difference between harassment and legitimate criticism of Trump’s support for the “most anti-woman candidate in decades,” referring to Donald Trump.
Carlson continued to interrupt and bully Duca, but she shot back with a this little gem:
“You’re actually being a partisan hack that’s just attacking me ad nauseam and not allowing me to speak,” Duca said to a dumbfounded (and dumb) Carlson.
Carlson, perhaps realizing he was being destroyed on his own show by someone who writes for a Teen magazine, turned his attention to some of the more teen-centric articles Duca has written. Duca replied “A woman can love Ariana Grande and her thigh-high boots and still discuss politics and those things are not mutually exclusive.”
At the end of the segment, a visibly angry Carlson told her, “You should stick to the thigh-high boots. You’re better at that.”
Duca later took to Twitter to continue her complete and utter destruction of Carlson:
Well done, Lauren Duca. We have a long road ahead of us in fighting these biased, bullying members of the media. Keep up the good fight. Stand up to condescending, sexist, Trump-normalizing bullies like Tucker Carlson and his cohorts at Fox News.
