The investigation into Jared Kushner covers several alleged crimes. Mueller has him on the hook for several things from lying on his security clearance forms, to arranging pay-to-play deals with foreign investors. To make matters worse for Kushner, the Daily Mail has released a story that, if true, just could result in life in prison.
We all know that Jared Kushner abruptly traveled to Saudi Arabia to meet with the Crown Prince just days before the Prince began arresting and killing his enemies. Now, it’s reported that the Crown Prince received classified intel from Jared Kushner which helped him pick his targets.
The Daily Mail is known for its exclusives, so it’s not far fetched to believe this is from a reliable source, but their track record isn’t perfect either. Kushner’s camp is of course claiming this is not true, but it will be up to Mueller what to do from here.
It’s being reported that:
- Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman met with Jared Kushner in October
- Salman has since bragged about using classified intelligence from Kushner as part of a crackdown on ‘corrupt’ princes and businessmen in Saudi Arabia
- He said the intelligence from Kushner included information on those who were disloyal to Salman and who were his ‘enemies’, insiders tell DailyMail
- Kushner’s attorney’s spokesman said it was ‘false’ that the president’s son-in-law passed on secrets and that he was ‘well aware of the rules’
If Kushner did give classified U.S. information to the Crown Prince for personal vengeance, it would be a crime against the U.S. and put Kushner on the hook for the resulting deaths. If there are financial payments for this intel, Kushner would be serving life in prison for sure. He would have to offer Mueller something spectacular on Trump to be have any hope of saving himself in that scenario.
If Mueller and his team can prove this story is true, it will be the final nail in his coffin. He’s already basically guilty in the court of public opinion and even Trump has revoked his uppermost security clearance recently. He’s still working in the White House, but you know it’s bad if even Trump is keeping his distance.
