Thank the Lord for Trae Crowder.
If you don’t know who Crowder is, he’s a comedian (really more of a satirical social commentator) from the deep south. He’s a self-proclaimed “redneck,” but bucking the trend of being a redneck, he’s also a liberal progressive who releases viral videos speaking out against conservative buffoonery like the White Supremacy/Nazi shenanigans in Charlottesville, Virginia last weekend.
In Crowder’s latest video, in response to the news out of Virginia, he claims he’s “disgusted by this Charlottesville shit,” but insists that “love will prevail, ya’ll.” Crowder also calls out the Nazis involved in Charlottesville for posing as “patriots” with the Confederate flag, which he says is the most un-American symbol there is.
**Warning: there is some rough language in the video, but the message is on point:
Crowder says, “I don’t know that there’s any symbol that’s more inherently un-American than the Confederate flag. It’s sorta the point of the fucking thing,”
“…There they are in full regalia, exercising their rights as Americans.
“We’ve got a right to assemble here! We’ve got a right to protest that statue, fly that flag!”
Buddy. Yes. You do. But. Screaming about your rights as an American while rocking the Confederate flag is like arguing against gay marriage with a d*ck in your mouth… it makes no sense!”
Like him or not, Trae Crowder is a breath of fresh air!
