Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R – KY), a man who has publicly stated his mission in life for 8 years was to block everything President Barack Obama did, suddenly thinks blocking a President’s Supreme Court pick is unacceptable. Wonder why that is? Because the President in question is Donald Trump, not Barack Obama.
Before you see McConnell’s most hypocritical moment in political history, keep in mind he said the following just a few months ago (watch):
Suddenly, after actively refusing to have the proper Senate Confirmation Hearings on Obama’s SCOTUS nominee, Merrick Garland, McConnell is taking a stand on Senate obstructionism, saying he won’t tolerate democrats blocking Trump’s nominee.
McConnell said “Apparently there’s yet a new standard now, which is to not confirm a Supreme Court nominee at all. We’ll be looking forward to receiving a Supreme Court nomination and moving forward on it.”
Hang on…hang on, Mitch. So basically, what you are saying is it’s only ok to block a Supreme Court nomination if you are a Republican? Got it…
The hypocrisy is so thick on this one it that this just might be the most hypocritical moment in political history.
Here’s the video of McConnell’s big moment…

The hypocrisy is staggering, but sadly, unsurprising.
