Republicans in Congress have apparently decided to go all-in supporting popular vote loser Donald Trump, particularly as it relates to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
Rand Paul bursted into a temper tantrum about the whole Trump/Russia scandal, revealing that he might be scared to death about what Robert Mueller might dig up about him.
Here’s what Rand Paul tweeted: “Time to investigate high ranking Obama government officials who might have colluded to prevent the election of Donald Trump! This could be WORSE than Watergate!” Huh?
This statement by Paul was extremely unexpected by virtually everyone. This isn’t just some top Republicans who has decide to throw his weight behind some conspiracy that Donald Trump is somehow being framed for his treasonous actions,
Bill Palmer points out that “he’s running into the middle of the battlefield and screaming it at the top of his lungs. People only act this way for one reason.”
Clearly Rand Paul is scared to death that Mueller’s investigation will reveal that he was in on it some how.
How was he in on it? We have absolutely no idea, but his actions obviously show he is freaking out right now about it. There’s been nothing thus far that indicates Paul was a conspirator. And to make things every more confusing, we know that Paul despises Donald Trump as a person.
So, how in the world did Rand Paul get mixed up in this thing? Perhaps Senator John McCain can offer some answers.
Back in March of this year, Sen. John McCain accused fellow Sen. Rand Paul of doing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s bidding after Paul blocked an attempt to vote on a treaty for NATO membership for Montenegro.
“The senator from Kentucky is now working for Vladimir Putin,” McCain bluntly said of Paul on the Senate floor following the dust-up.
McCain appeared to know something that clearly almost everyone else doesn’t. Perhaps McCain knows some high-level classified intel that he shouldn’t have let slip back in March.
Now, all of a sudden, Rand Paul is making a last-ditch public attempt at stopping the Trump-Russia investigation. There certainly looks to be some personal reason for Rand Paul to burst onto the Trump-Russia scene, which time can only tell why he’s doing it.
It’s a buffoonish example of trying to deflect. Trump does it all the time when he’s scared about something else. Now Ryan is trying it too. They know they’re all going down soon and they’re trying to deflect back to Obama/Hillary/Etc. Aren’t they the ones who keep telling Democrats to move on?
