Rep. Ted Lieu Goes Public on Russian Money Funneling During Election, Vows to Expose Truth

The conservative ties to Russia that helped elect popular vote loser Donald Trump keep being getting found to go deeper and deeper all the time. New reports show that conservative domestic terrorist group the NRA has incredibly deep ties to Russia and without question helped influence the election as well.

Numerous prominent Russians close to Vladimir Putin and /or highly ranked in the Russian Orthodox Church, have now have been found to have contact with National Rifle Association officials during the 2016 U.S. election, according to photographs and an NRA source.

Congressman Ted Lieu says: “Dear @NRA: Did you funnel Russian money to the Presidential, Senate or House races in 2016? If not, why won’t you answer the simple questions in my letter? Why did you cut off your responses to Sen @RonWyden? We will keep digging until we find the truth.”

Congressman Ted Lieu of California stated in a letter to NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre that an NRA delegates met with Rogozin and Rudov during a trip to Russia in December 2015.

The McClatchy report that Ted Lieu references reveals: Last month on Capitol Hill, Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee who examined Russian interactions with the NRA reached a preliminary conclusion that “the Kremlin may also have used the NRA to secretly fund Mr. Trump’s campaign.”

Citing that finding, Lieu and Rep. Kathleen Rice, D-N.Y., asked FBI Director Christopher Wray in a May 24 letter to expand the inquiry to also explore whether Kremlin money flowed illegally to the NRA for use in influencing House and Senate races.

“Illegal campaign contributions by a foreign nation, especially one whose interests stand in stark contrast to those of the United States, threaten the very underpinnings of our democracy and cannot remain unchallenged,” Lieu and Rice wrote.

The NRA reported spending $24.4 million to back Republican candidates for Congress in 2016.

Spokespeople for the FBI and Mueller’s office declined to comment on the letter.

If you still doubt that 1) the NRA is evil and/or 2) Russia deeply impacted the 2016 election and swung it in Trump’s favor, then you’re either delusional, named Trump, or both.
