Popular vote loser Donald Trump is trying to distance himself from Paul Manafort, as Manafort’s legal woes are growing. It’s not going to work, of course, because of the overwhelming evidence that Manfort and Trump have a closer relationship dating back to the 1970s.
However, Trump decided to have Twitter meltdown, saying:
“As only one of two people left who could become President, why wouldn’t the FBI or Department of “Justice” have told me that they were secretly investigating Paul Manafort (on charges that were 10 years old and had been previously dropped) during my campaign? Should have told me! Paul Manafort came into the campaign very late and was with us for a short period of time (he represented Ronald Reagan, Bob Dole & many others over the years), but we should have been told that Comey and the boys were doing a number on him, and he wouldn’t have been hired!”
However, in terms of Trump’s relationship with Paul Manafort, Manafort’s daughter tells an entirely different story, according to veteran investigative reporter, Kenneth P. Vogel:
MANAFORT and TRUMP “are literally living in the same building and…they go up and down all day long hanging and plotting together” — text from one of Manafort’s daughters to the other on 4/7/16, just days after their dad was hired by the campaign.
AND on 8/18/16, as MANAFORT was being pushed out of TRUMP campaign, his daughter texted a friend: “my dad resigned from being the public face of the campaign. But is still very much involved behind the scenes…Last nights speech was a speech my dad had been pushing him to make…”
Don’t know about you, but I’m kind of getting tired of the President lying about things that are incredibly easy to disprove by either photographic, recorded, or eye-witness evidence.
Trump can claim he barely knows Manafort all he wants, like he’s done with Mike Flynn, George Papadopoulos, but the evidence to the contrary is extremely obvious.
