Trump Publicly Attacks Obama for “Big Hoax”, Then Gets Told: “You’ve betrayed your oath. You’re a traitor, a con and a thief. Resign”

President Donald Trump has previously blamed the Obama administration, really just Obama himself, for not doing anything about the fact that Russia was interfering in the 2016 Presidential election, despite the fact that he also believed that Russia did not  interfere in the 2016 Presidential election.

Now, Trump is trying to clarify his logic by claiming that Obama didn’t do anything about the hacking because it’s all a big hoax.

This also contradicts his statements claiming he believed Russia did interfere with the election, which was a response/walk-back of his defense of Vladimir Putin telling him Russia didn’t do it.

Trump has faced pushback ever since his joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which Trump didn’t seem to believe that the Kremlin’s interfered in the 2016 election. Trump claimed that Putin was “extremely strong and powerful in his denial” of Russian meddling, and added he didn’t see a reason why it “would” be Russia.

Days later, following intense criticism from both sides of the aisle, Trump claims that he meant to say he didn’t see a reason why it “wouldn’t” be Russia.

Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen both said publicly just days ago that Russia definitively interfered in the election. Nielsen sais Russian interference is still present on some level, and Coats said there’s “no doubt” Russia is potentially targeting the 2018 midterm elections.

Calls for Trump’s impeachment have grown exponentially since the summit with Putin, with many pointing out the double standard that if this were any other American President, they’d already be on trial.

Trump spent several days in a public campaign defending himself on Twitter:

Scott Dworkin says to Trump directly on Twitter: “.-Be quiet. Stop having staff tweet out disturbing messages, as if they were from Putin himself. What you’ve done to this country is unforgivable. You helped Russia attack the United States. You’ve betrayed your oath. You’re a traitor, a con and a thief. Resign.”
